As one of the sports fanatic football game, I want to make some recommendations to the Football Association of Malaysia, the FAM for the development of football in Malaysia.

Since 2004, I have been following the development of Uruguayan Football Association on the world stage.

Why Uruguay is able to produce star players like Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez and now, Edinson Cavani although Uruguay’s population is only 4 million compared to Malaysia’s 29 million population.

That is a big difference of 7-fold difference between the two countries.

But, obviously, the reason given is that the physical and economic factors in the development of Malaysian football industry.

Undoubtedly, physical factors play an important role in any sport. But, the question is, until when?

Why Asian countries like Japan and Korea, are able to compete on the international stage?

How many years FAM have to wait so that the physical condition of players become taller and robust as Uruguayan players?

But when talked about economic figures, Malaysia ranked at 12 compared to Uruguay which is at 89 position.

So why talk about economic factors hindered the development of football in Malaysia?

Do FAM have to wait for the Malaysian economy to fall, then rise up this sport?
