1. There are a few odd fatwa saying that Imsak is bid’ah (sect).


2. Imsak was a time when, we are alert to refrain from eating and drinking and things that invalidate the fast before dawn.


3. Imsak usually is 10 minutes before dawn.


4. Imsak is derived from the word “mesk,” which means to hold something, embrace it tightly or refrain from it.


5. The term imsak means restraint from prohibited things during the daylight hours of Ramadan, when Muslims fast.


6. It refers to the time when fasting begins.


7. The Prophet Muhammad said prohibitions of fasting begin at the time when the darkness of the night and the light of day can be distinguished.


8. He also recommended fasters to eat suhoor (pre-dawn meal) close to imsak time so that fasting is not a burden on the body.


9. If a person is doubtful whether imsak time has begun, he should refrain from eating or drinking if he intends to fast that day.


10. With the arrival of imsak, one can pray fajr (the dawn prayer).

I believe the U.S. and Israel will continue to play their needles in the Middle East. They chanted slogans of democracy, but when democracy stabbing them, without shame they would violate democracy. Just look, do they respect the choice of people in Algeria during the FIS was overthrown? Do they respect the people’s choice when Najmuddin Erbakan denied authorities in Turkey? That is why the Chinese and Indians who came to Malaysia can live safely and harmoniously without any war and ethnic violence as happened in Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines and many others (the author do not need to elaborate).

Recently, Malaysia was frequently attacked with extreme demonstrations by some irresponsible parties. The closest example of this is the recent demonstration, “BlackOut 505″ which is not directly relevant and just like a childish reunion.
